The Spark Group, Inc.
is a privately held Maryland based
corporation started in 1997 having core competencies in
all aspects of systems software design, development, implementation,
management, and consulting. Having clients in the Financial Services,
Technology, HealthCare and Public Safety industry sectors has given
us a broad range of experience applying technology to solve problems
and automate existing or new business processes. Our Clients have
included JPMorgan Chase Manhattan Bank, First Data Corporation,
Compaq Computer, Hewelett Packard, Aon Corporation and DNA Services of
America to name a few.
The Spark Group, Inc. has developed the Fast Alerting Systems Technology (FAST) platform
to fill a need in the Public Safety sector. Our FAST platform is a very
cost-effective, seemless fit into all Public Safety facilities. FAST
delivers a wide range of non-emergency services (Road Closures, Equipment
Status, Upcoming Events, Duty Schedules, Doppler Radar Weather Maps,
Hospital Status, WebCAMs, and more) while Public Safety
facilities are not in an ALERT status. Then, once an incident ALERT is
sent the FAST system uses all available means to deliver the alert details
to appropriate personnel. FAST currently supports sending visual and audible
alert details to one or more large LCD monitors, and one or more large
LED signs installed in the Public Safety facility. In addition, FAST delivers
alert details via text, email, and pager messaging. FAST can also be configured
to close one or more relays when specific equipment apparatus are due on a call which
in turn can activate different controls within your internal alerting system.
Go Mobile and get up-to-the-minute incident information updates while on the road
to help you respond FAST. We are actively developing and testing new features for
the FAST platform with an objective of evolving FAST to be the number one choice
by Public Safety facilities nationally.
The Spark Group, Inc. has worked closely with Automated Protection Systems (APS)
in the system requirements phase of the FAST platform as
APS's Firehouse Alerting division has years of experience in the Public Safety industry sector. APS's
Firehouse Alerting division has experience in all aspects of alerting systems,
including integrated automatic timers and activation of special systems
(smoke evacuation., lighting and audible alerting), room zoning of station alerts,
LED/LCD display installation, and touch screen interfaces. APS's
Firehouse Alerting division will be the primary entity responsible for the Sales,
Marketing, Implementation, and first level Support of the FAST platform. The
Spark Group, Inc. will focus on Technical Support of the FAST platform as well
as new development for future version releases and custom development to satisfy customer requirements.
